Jobs.co.uk is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Garage Equipment Engineer) based in the West Midlands to service electromechanical lifting equipment across the UK.

The role offers £34,000-£40,000 DOE, a company van, and extensive on-site travel with occasional overnight stays. You will diagnose faults, carry out maintenance, and keep thorough service records to ensure equipment safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Field service experience in lifting equipment or similar machinery is advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair skills across electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site servicing, maintenance and technical support for customers across the UK.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on lifting equipment.
• Undertake scheduled inspections and complete the associated certification and documentation.
• Provide technical assistance to customers by telephone and email.
• Maintain accurate service records, job reports and travel expense documentation.
• Build and maintain professional working relationships with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Represent the business professionally while delivering a reliable and customer-focused service.
