About The Role

Reporting to an established manufacturer of lifting technology, the Field Service Engineer (Garage Equipment Engineer) serves customers across the UK from a West Midlands base. This full-time post, paying £34,000 to £40,000 depending on experience, involves servicing, maintaining and repairing electromechanical lifting apparatus on client premises, keeping each unit safe and dependable. Weekday travel is routine, with occasional overnight stays. Applicants should hold practical skills in fault diagnosis, mechanical and electrical repair, plus a full driving licence. A company van supports nationwide coverage. Ideal candidates live within the Midlands, allowing efficient reach to sites throughout the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site servicing, maintenance and technical support for customers across the UK.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• At least three years’ experience diagnosing, maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
• A full, valid UK driving licence.
• Previous experience working with mobile lifting equipment or similar machinery, which would be advantageous.
• A professional, approachable and dependable attitude towards customer service.
• Strong organisational, analytical and fault-finding skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft 365 and standard business applications.
• The ability to work independently, manage workloads effectively and contribute to a wider team.

Working pattern
