Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Garage Equipment) covering the East or West Midlands region. The role offers £34,000 - £40,000 DOE plus a company vehicle and benefits, with nationwide coverage and a field-based schedule.

You will service, maintain and repair mobile column lifts and related garage equipment, install and commission lifting gear at customer sites, and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults. Expect some overnight stays and overseas travel when required.

Qualifications

• Experience on mobile column lifts is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capabilities.
• Able to work independently and manage your own diary effectively.

Field Service Engineer (Garage Equipment)

East or West Midlands - Field Based

£34,000 - £40,000 DOE + Company Vehicle + Benefits

This position is aimed at engineers who already have relevant garage equipment experience, ideally working directly with mobile column lifts. You will have a high level of autonomy, managing your own diary and workload while providing technical support to customers nationwide.

The Role

• Service, maintain and repair mobile column lifts and associated garage equipment


• Carry out installation and commissioning of lifting equipment at customer sites


• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete necessary repairs


• Complete detailed reports and accurately document all work carried out


• Ensure equipment and work complies with LOLER, PUWER and relevant health and safety requirements


• Cover customers nationally, with occasional overnight stays and overseas travel when required

The Candidate

• Previous experience working on mobile column lifts is highly desirable


• Experienced Garage Equipment Engineers with relevant lifting equipment knowledge will also be considered


• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capabilities


• Confident completing service reports and documenting work accurately


• Able to work independently and manage your own diary effectively


• Based in the East or West Midlands with a full UK driving licence

• £34,000 - £40,000 basic salary depending on experience


• Higher end of the salary range reserved for particularly strong, experienced candidates
