Job summary

SER Limited is seeking a Service Engineer to service forklift trucks and warehouse equipment across Burton upon Trent and Chesterfield. The role is primarily field-based with on-site work, responsible for servicing, diagnosing faults, and completing maintenance on a range of equipment in customer sites.

Ideal candidates have strong forklift experience, a mechanical engineering background, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Essential: hands-on experience with forklift trucks
• Mechanical engineering background
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and warehouse equipment
• Working on electric, LPG and diesel counterbalance, pallet and reach trucks
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently and safely
• Completing planned maintenance, inspections and breakdowns
• Representing the company professionally at customer sites
• Managing workload independently while upholding high workmanship and safety standards
