Job summary

SER Limited in Croydon is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service forklifts and materials handling equipment across South London and surrounding counties. You will diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and commission equipment at customer sites, with a strong focus on safety, reliability and customer service.

This role offers early starts, a structured overtime scheme, a company vehicle, and ongoing training within a long-established, family-owned business.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering mechanical or similar technical role.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in materials handling or forklift environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, preventative maintenance and inspections on forklifts and materials handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carry out repairs and replacement of faulty components safely and efficiently.
• Commission equipment at customer sites and ensure compliance documentation.
