Job summary

Alexander James Recruiting Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service a client base across Chesterfield. The role focuses on forklift trucks and related material handling equipment, with occasional workshop time and on-call duties.

You will work closely with team leaders and service managers to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery across the region, maintaining strong customer relationships and professional representation when visiting sites.

Qualifications

• Experience within the Material Handling industry preferred.
• Candidates from plant hire, powered access, commercial vehicles or automotive will be considered.
• Open to recently qualified engineers seeking long-term career development.
• Based in Chesterfield or nearby within a reasonable commute.

Responsibilities

• Service a client base across Chesterfield with focus on forklift trucks.
• Repair and service related material handling equipment including side-loaders and industrial cleaning equipment.
• Maintain excellent customer service and present the company professionally on site visits.
• Occasionally attend the workshop and provide on-call support.
• Collaborate with regional team leaders and service managers to ensure efficient service.

Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a leading manufacturer of Material Handling equipment looking to on-board a new Field Service Engineer to service their client base across Chesterfield. Responsibilities

• Servicing a client base across Chesterfieldwith afocus on servicing forklift trucks
• Fixing and servicing other, related material handling & specialist equipment to include side-loaders and industrial cleaning equipment
• Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way when visiting customer sites
• Attending the workshop from time to time and occasionally working on call
• Working closely with the team leaders and service managers within the region to ensure service is carried out efficiently

Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual with experience within the Material Handling industry. However this isn’t essential, they would also be interested in speaking with candidates with a background in plant hire, powered access, commercial vehicles or Automotive. Another option the company would consider would be a recently qualified engineer looking to get into something long term and building a career. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in Chesterfield or a short commutable distance.
