Job summary

Dawsongroup Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair forklift trucks across customer sites and Dawsongroup locations. You will work independently, applying mechanical skills to diagnose issues and complete accurate service reports.

You will service diesel, LPG and electronic systems, hold a full UK driving licence and communicate clearly with customers, ensuring safety standards are met and work is documented thoroughly.

Qualifications

• Essential mechanical knowledge of material handling equipment.
• Fully skilled Fork Truck Lift Fitter.
• Ability to work on diesel, LPG and electronic systems.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair forklift trucks safely, efficiently and with minimal supervision.
• Complete accurate service and maintenance reports, recording repairs, parts used and time taken.
• Inspect forklift trucks and communicate their condition clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain company tools, equipment and your service van in a clean, tidy and serviceable condition.
• Build positive relationships with customers while representing Dawsongroup professionally.
