Job summary

Interaction Technical is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service forklift trucks across the Croydon/Greater London area from a home base. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel, petrol, LPG, and electric trucks while maintaining high workmanship standards.

The role offers manufacturer-led training, clear progression routes to senior roles, and substantial overtime with excellent earning potential in a growing national business.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Good hydraulic and electrical knowledge
• Experience working on engines and mobile machinery
• Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining forklift trucks
• Diagnosing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults
• Attending breakdowns and carrying out reactive repairs
• Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Repairing engines, drive systems, hydraulics and electrical components
• Recording all work completed via engineer reports
• Managing workload efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards

Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00 (42.5 Hour Week)

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will work from home attending customer sites throughout your designated territory, carrying out planned maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs on a range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining forklift trucks
• Diagnosing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults
• Attending breakdowns and carrying out reactive repairs
• Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Repairing (Diesel, Petrol, LPG, Electric) engines, drive systems, hydraulics and electrical components
