Job summary

ALECTO RECRUITMENT LTD is seeking a hands-on Service Engineer for field-based work across the UK. You will maintain, repair and install pumping station equipment, tackling preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns on diverse sites.

This role requires diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, working independently, and delivering excellent customer service while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing or repairing pumping systems or similar mechanical equipment.
• Good understanding of electrical and mechanical fault-finding.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach.
• Good IT skills and ability to maintain service records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance on water and pumping stations.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of pumping equipment.
• Maintain accurate service reports and records.
• Follow health and safety and quality standards on site.
