Recruitment Helpline Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Sewage Pump & Treatment Plant Service Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) to join their field team in Lichfield. You'll install, service, maintain and repair sewage pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants, and control panels across customer sites, with a focus on electrical and mechanical fault-finding.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with sewage pumps and wastewater treatment equipment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and mechanical maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair sewage pumping stations and wastewater treatment systems.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults on pumps, motors, control panels, and associated equipment.
• Install new pumping systems, treatment plants, and control equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and emergency breakdown callouts.
• Test and inspect electrical systems, including control panels, floats, sensors, and alarms.
• Perform pump removals, replacements, and overhauls.
• Complete site reports, service records, and risk assessments accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Liaise professionally with customers, site managers, and office staff and managing the servicing diary / schedule.
