Job summary

Alecto Recruitment Limited is seeking a hands-on Service Engineer to service pumping systems across Sussex and Kent. The role offers a £37,000 base salary plus a new van and your own tools, with travel across commercial, industrial and domestic sites in the UK.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, perform maintenance, repairs and installations, and provide excellent customer service on-site. The position supports ongoing training and professional development within a growing

Qualifications

• Candidates should be hands-on engineers capable of diagnosing faults across pumping systems.
• Strong communication and customer-focused approach required.
• Good IT skills and ability to maintain service records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance on water and sewage pumping stations.
• Respond to reactive breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement solutions.
• Undertake electrical installation, servicing and remedial works.
• Respond to alarms via telemetry monitoring as part of on-call rota.
• Assist installation engineers with equipment installs and provide on-site support.
• Prepare accurate service reports and maintain records in company systems.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, workmanship and customer service.
