Job summary

Demob Job Ltd. is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join our client’s team, covering the South of England. The role involves servicing power protection equipment, fault finding and travelling across the UK to customer sites.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, have experience with electrical test equipment, and be willing to travel including overnight stays. Full UK driving licence and security checks are required.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering as a minimum.
• Practical experience working with electrical and electronic equipment, including fault finding, maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Experience using electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Good IT skills and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to undertake specialist training and develop new skills.
• Flexible approach to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
• Willingness to work any 5 days out of 7, including weekends, and participate in the callout rota.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Willingness to undertake and pass security checks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing, maintenance and repairs on specialist power protection equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and electronic faults.
• Attend customer sites to investigate faults and carry out repairs.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work carried out.
• Work independently with technical support available from the wider engineering team.
• Participate in the callout rota following completion of training.
