Job summary

Technical Partners International is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer / Technician to service and overhaul control valves across UK sites, including offshore projects. Based from Middleton, you will travel extensively to customer sites, perform in-situ maintenance and support plant outages with a hands-on, safety‑conscious approach.

This role offers extensive training in valve diagnostics, plus a comprehensive benefits package, company vehicle and pension.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering background.
• Experience with maintenance, overhaul or repair of industrial plant/equipment.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work away from home when required.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Positive, hands-on attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, inspect and overhaul control valves and associated equipment.
• Carry out in-situ maintenance, repair and refurbishment at customer sites.
• Support planned shutdowns, outages and maintenance campaigns.
• Perform fault-finding, diagnostics and technical reporting.
• Assist with commissioning and plant start-up activities.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service delivery.
• Support workshop activities during quieter periods.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and reports.
