Kingston Barnes Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Technician to join a Midlands-based team responsible for the maintenance, fault finding, repair and servicing of automated storage systems at customer sites.

The role is predominantly electrical, with basic mechanical tasks, and involves working across the Midlands from Birmingham to Sheffield. You will work independently, provide high standards of customer service, and ensure safe, efficient work.

Qualifications

• Electrical/electronic qualification required (NVQ/City & Guilds/BTEC or equivalent).
• Experience in manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical fault finding with focus on electrical systems.
• Planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain customer relationships.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately and timely.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Support colleagues and wider engineering team when required.
• Maintain PPE, tools and equipment to company standards.
• Follow quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures.
