Field Service Engineer

£38,000 - £43,200 + Door-to-Door + Fully Equipped Service Vehicle

Birmingham (Commutable from: Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, West Bromwich, Solihull, Coventry, Sutton Coldfield, Redditch)

Are you a Field Service Engineer, Plant Engineer or HGV Technician looking for a secure, long-term role where you can take pride in fault-finding and repairs, work door-to-door and represent a business known for quality and professionalism?

On offer is a great opportunity to join a well-established specialist engineering company, working on a varied range of municipal and winter maintenance equipment across your region, with the support of a Service Desk and technical team behind you.

You will be part of an organisation that values customer service and doing the job properly, working with high-value kit including compact road sweepers, truck-mounted sweepers, spreaders, airport support equipment and mowing equipment.

In this role you will carry out diagnostics, servicing, inspections and breakdown repairs at customer sites, fault-find across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.

This role would suit an experienced field engineer looking for a stable, permanent position on a regional patch, working with good equipment and a professional support structure.

The Role:

• Field service, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on specialist municipal equipment
• Fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical
• Door-to-door working pattern, Monday to Friday (40 hours) with an out-of-hours call-out rota
• Regional coverage from the Birmingham area
• Occasional overnight stays and support at workshops (Peterborough/Glasgow) when required

The Person:

• Background in field service engineering / plant / HGV/LGV / agricultural / automotive or similar
• Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic and auto-electrical systems
• Full UK driving licence and willing to travel
