Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is partnering with a rapidly expanding organisation in the Industrial Cleaning Equipment sector to recruit a skilled Field Service Engineer for Tonbridge, Kent. You will service, repair and install equipment across a 1-hour radius of your area, with full training and structured onboarding.

The role offers a base salary of £41,000-£42,000 plus London Weighting (£3,000-£4,000) and OTE of £50,000-£55,000+.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair and servicing.
• Good knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems.
• Experience with diesel engines and electrical diagnostic equipment.
• NVQ or City & Guilds in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns, servicing and installations within a 1-hour radius of your area.
• Use a range of manual and powered tools, including spanners, screwdrivers, drills and grinders.
• Using lifting equipment such as lifting slings and hoists.
• Using hot-working equipment including blowtorches and heat guns.
• Carrying out electrical, electronic and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Working on industrial cleaning equipment and internal combustion engines, including petrol, diesel and LPG engines.
• Managing your time effectively to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within appropriate timescales.
• Completing job reports and ordering replacement parts where necessary.
• Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.

The Responsibilities

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

The Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience inelectrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair and servicing
• A good level of electrical or mechanical knowledge
• Experience in a similar engineering role, such as:
• Plant Engineer
• Maintenance Engineer
• Hydraulic Engineer
• Pneumatic Engineer
• Mechanical Fitter
• Relevant qualifications such asNVQ or City & Guilds in Mechanical or Electrical Engineeringwould be advantageous but are not essential
• Experience using electrical and mechanical tools
• Previous experience as a mechanical, electrical or field-based engineer
• Experience working withdiesel enginesand electrical diagnostic equipment
