Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting a Field Service Engineer for Southeast England, ideally based in Reading, Slough or surrounding areas to service dock levellers and loading bay equipment. You will travel to client sites, fault-find electromechanical systems and support installations as needed.

Role involves occasional on-call duties and stock/vehicle management, with scope to promote maintenance services and spare parts to customers and relay opportunities to the sales team.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service or related electrical/mechanical engineering roles.
• Strong mechanical or electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with lifting equipment or similar (desirable).
• Welding experience (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical and mechanical support on dock levellers and loading bay equipment.
• Assist with installations when necessary.
• Participate in occasional on-call rota and manage tools, vehicle and stock.
• Promote maintenance services and spare parts to customers and inform sales of potential leads.

Field Service Engineer

Location: Southeast England, Ideally based in Reading, Oxford, Slough, West London, Luton, Reigate, Basingstoke, North London, Hemel Hempstead or surrounding areas

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 - OTE - £50,000+

Key Responsibilities

• Provide electrical and mechanical support, prodominantly on dock levellers and specialist loading bay equipment.
• Assist with installations when necessary
• Participate in an occasional on-call rota and responsibly manage company tools, vehicle, and stock
• Promote sales of maintenance services and equipment, including spare parts, and advise sales department of possible sales leads

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications
