Record Packaging Systems Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission and service a range of packaging machinery across the UK and Ireland. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and perform preventative maintenance under service agreements to keep customers’ lines running smoothly.

The role suits a multi-skilled engineer who can work independently, communicates well with customers, and holds a full UK driving licence; a company vehicle is provided.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic Field Service Engineer to join a growing and dynamic business. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for exceptional aftersales support and technical expertise across the UK and Ireland.

You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, fault-finding, and maintenance of a wide range of packaging machinery, working directly with customers across sectors including bakery, confectionery, pharmaceutical, and food manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of packaging machinery (flow wrappers, VFFS, tray sealers, etc.)
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding, diagnostics, and repair
• Preventative maintenance and servicing in line with service agreements
• Identifying opportunities for upgrades, spares, and service contracts

Equipment You’ll Work On

• Horizontal flow wrappers
• Vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) machines
• Tray sealers and thermoformers
• Case packing and end-of-line automation systems
• Conveyor systems, coding equipment, and integration lines

What We’re Looking For

• Strong multi-skilled engineer with willingness to learn.
• Previous experience with packaging machinery or fast-paced automated equipment will be an advantage.
• Good communication skills and work ethic
• Comfortable to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence
