Job summary

Allstaff Recruitment in Sheffield is seeking a Field Service Engineer for a full-time permanent role. The position offers 40 hours per week plus overtime and is based in Sheffield.

You will maintain and repair earthmoving equipment, perform servicing and fault-finding on heavy plant machinery. The role requires Mechanical and Electrical engineering experience, Heavy Plant or agriculture background, NVQ Level 3, a clean driving licence, and strong IT/diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity Field Service Engineer based in Sheffield for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client are a large, growing and reputable manufacturer and supplier of construction equipment on a national and international scale.

Summary of the Field Service Engineer role

Salary: £17.45 - £19.36 per hour
Location: Sheffield
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours plus overtime

Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer

• Carry out maintenance and repair work on earthmoving equipment.
• Carry out servicing, inspection and repair of earthmoving machinery.
• Diagnostic work and fault-finding.
• Participate in the early stages with the effective processing of warranty claims.
• Escalate actions in relation to broken or damaged company equipment.
• Coordinate with customers, ensuring their requirements are understood and met.
