Job summary

Reed is seeking a field-based Service Engineer to visit customer sites across the UK, performing maintenance on hot tubs, diagnosing faults, and ensuring safety and hygiene standards. You will manage scheduling, service records, and parts inventory while communicating clearly with customers.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, a valid UK driving licence, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service engineer, preferably with hot tubs, pools, or similar equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair faults and work independently.
• Capable of working in various weather conditions and handling tools.
• Excellent communication to explain technical details to customers.
• Valid full UK driving licence.
• Electrical or plumbing certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day of the role:

• Conduct regular maintenance checks and servicing of hot tubs to ensure optimal functionality and hygiene.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults in hot tub systems, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components.
• Provide clear and effective communication to customers regarding maintenance practices, repairs, and safe usage of hot tubs.
• Manage and organise your own service diary, scheduling appointments efficiently and prioritising workloads to meet customer needs and service deadlines.
• Manage inventory of parts and tools required for service tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of service schedules, customer interactions, and invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while on-site and in transit.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a service engineer, preferably with specific experience in hot tubs, pools, or similar equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Good physical condition, capable of handling tools and machinery and working in various weather conditions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical customers.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Professional certification in electrical or plumbing work is highly advantageous.
