Dahlia Recruitment Ltd is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to install, commission, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites across Reading and surrounding areas in the UK.

The role involves fault-finding, resolving technical issues, and delivering excellent customer support. You will carry out installations, routine maintenance, and on-site troubleshooting while adhering to health and safety standards. A full UK driving licence is essential to access customer sites regularly.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Field Engineer role.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, automation, or controls background.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer-facing abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Reports to: Head of Service & Commissioning

We're looking for a hands-on Service Engineer to install, commission, service, and maintain our equipment at customer sites. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fault-finding, solving technical problems, and delivering excellent customer support.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Experience in a Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Field Engineer role.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, automation, or controls background.

Desirable

• Experience commissioning complex or bespoke equipment.
• Knowledge of PLCs and control systems.
• Industry experience in manufacturing, energy, process, or building services.
• IPAF, ECS, CSCS, or similar certifications.
