Job summary

Professional Technical Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the Northampton area. You will maintain and repair material handling equipment on customer sites, using a range of trucks from pallet to IC and automated systems.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, and complete paperwork while attending ongoing training. The role offers progression, a generous package including an OTE of £45k in year one, a company van with personal usage, a pension, 25 days holiday

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 qualification is essential.
• IT literacy and up-to-date tech proficiency required.
• Experience with engines, electrics and hydraulics is beneficial.

Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer

Reporting to the Service Team Leader you will be in control of the maintenance, service, and repairs of material handling equipment on various customer sites within your postcode area. You will be working with an assortment of equipment including electric trucks. Managing your own work in progress, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed accurately, attend regular training courses to maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment, and be an active team player sustaining the company's prestigious reputation. You will be working with everything from small pallet trucks, through to IC trucks, VNA trucks, and automated trucks, you will be required to find, diagnose, and rectify faults, and undertake preventative maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment at their customer sites.

Requirements of the Field Service Engineer

• NVQ Level 3 qualification is essential - Certificates will be required
• Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician or Roadside Recovery all considered.
• Technical experience in Engines, Electrics (Diagnostics) and/or hydraulics.
• IT Literate and be comfortable with using the latest technologySalary and Benefits for the Field Service Engineer:
