Job summary

Professional Technical Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the DE11 to DE15 area, carrying out maintenance, service and repair of material handling equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance and support a diverse fleet from pallet trucks to IC and automated trucks.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 qualification is essential.
• Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician or Roadside Recovery considered.
• IT literate and comfortable with using latest technology.
• Technical experience in Engines, Electrics (Diagnostics) and/or hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair material handling equipment on customer sites within your postcode area.
• Diagnose faults and rectify issues across small pallet trucks to IC, VNA and automated trucks.
• Manage your own work in progress and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Attend regular training courses to stay up-to-date with equipment knowledge.

Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer

Reporting to the Service Team Leader you will be in control of the maintenance, service, and repairs of material handling equipment on various customer sites within your postcode area. You will be working with an assortment of equipment including electric trucks. Managing your own work in progress, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed accurately, attend regular training courses to maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment, and be an active team player sustaining the company's prestigious reputation. You will be working with everything from small pallet trucks, through to IC trucks, VNA trucks, and automated trucks, you will be required to find, diagnose, and rectify faults, and undertake preventative maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment at their customer sites.

Requirements of the Field Service Engineer

• NVQ Level 3 qualification is essential - Certificates will be required
• Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician or Roadside Recovery all considered.
• Technical experience in Engines, Electrics (Diagnostics) and/or hydraulics.
• IT Literate and be comfortable with using the latest technology
