Job summary

Zip Water in Milton Keynes is seeking a Field Engineer to service and repair Zip products on-site across customer locations. You will work independently within the field services team, delivering outstanding customer experience while promoting Zip products and HydroCare services.

The role includes a dedicated 6-week induction programme and ongoing on-job training to build the skills needed to achieve high first-time fix rates, comply with health and safety requirements, and efficiently complete

Qualifications

• Experience in field service is not essential; training provided.
• Strong technical understanding and repairs background.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Work independently in field services delivering world-class customer experience.
• Complete six-week City & Guilds induction and ongoing on-the-job training.
• Promote Zip products and HydroCare services by advising customers on best solutions.
• Focus on achieving first-time fix rate while adhering to health and safety requirements.
• Complete administration procedures in line with business requirements.

Experience as a Field Engineer is not essential; we will provide internal training to successful candidates with technical understanding and a background focused on repairs and fault finding to become expert Zip Water engineers.

• Dedicated 6-week City & Guilds assured induction programme and continued on-job training to give you the skills and knowledge to allow you to achieve your goals.
• Promote Zip products and HydroCare services by using your knowledge whilst on site to recommend and advise customers on the best solution to solve their hydration requirements
• Focused to achieve industry leading first time fix rate through the repair and service of all Zip products, in a timely manner, whilst adhering to all technical and health and safety requirements.
• Complete administration procedures in line with business requirements

Skills

• Technical understanding and a background focused on repairs and fault finding
• A natural problem solver with great attention to detail, essential to remain up to date and ensure processes are followed for example replenishment of parts stocked
• Face-to-face Customer Service experience, and an ability to promote and sell, desirable but not essential
• Plumbing or electrical qualification
• UK Driving license
• Previous experience of fault diagnostics
• Open to new ways of working whilst embracing exciting new products, services and technology as we grow and develop it.
