Job summary

Zip Water UK is seeking a Field Engineer to join the field services team. You will work independently in customers' locations, performing repairs, fault finding, and on-site installations with internal training provided.

Great communication and a customer-first approach are essential, with a UK driving license and a willingness to learn about Zip products and HydroCare services. A flexible schedule and safety compliance are expected as we grow.

Qualifications

• Technical background in repairs and fault finding.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-facing service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work independently in the field services team delivering on-site service.
• Promote Zip products and HydroCare services to customers.
• Achieve high first-time-fix rates while complying with safety rules.
• Complete administration in line with business requirements.

Experience as a Field Engineer is not essential; we will provide internal training to successful candidates with technical understanding and a background focused on repairs and fault finding to become expert Zip Water engineers.

• Dedicated 6-week City & Guilds assured induction programme and continued on-job training to give you the skills and knowledge to allow you to achieve your goals
• Promote Zip products and HydroCare services by using your knowledge whilst on site to recommend and advise customers on the best solution to solve their hydration requirements
• Focused to achieve industry leading first time fix rate through the repair and service of all Zip products, in a timely manner, whilst adhering to all technical and health and safety requirements
• Complete administration procedures in line with business requirements

Skills

• Technical understanding and a background focused on repairs and fault finding
• A natural problem solver with great attention to detail, essential to remain up to date and ensure processes are followed for example replenishment of parts stocked
• Face-to-face Customer Service experience, and an ability to promote and sell, desirable but not essential
• Plumbing or electrical qualification
• UK Driving license
• Previous experience of fault diagnostics
• Open to new ways of working whilst embracing exciting new products, services and technology as we grow and develop it
