Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain and repair Proseal tray sealing machinery at customer sites across the UK. You will apply your electrical and mechanical expertise, deliver strong customer service, and support upgrades and training.

This role requires a recognised engineering qualification, a full UK driving licence, and willingness to travel, with health and safety at the core.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
• Experience working with automated machinery in manufacturing or food production.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Mechanical fault-finding experience and understanding of machinery systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Full UK Driving Licence; valid passport and willingness to travel.
• Health & Safety requirements knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission Proseal machinery at customer sites across your region.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance to maximise machine reliability and uptime.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Deliver operator and maintenance training to customer teams.
• Complete service documentation and reports accurately.
• Identify opportunities for spare parts sales, service agreements, and equipment upgrades.
• Ensure all work complies with company procedures and Health & Safety standards.

# **Field Service Engineer** **Adlington, Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK** ## **Your Role** We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused **Field Service Engineer** to join our growing Service team.As the technical face of JBTMarel, you will play a critical role in supporting customers through the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of our industry-leading tray sealing machinery.
