Job summary

Morgan Jones is recruiting a Field Service Engineer to service premium agricultural machinery across a local Suffolk patch. This full-time, permanent role offers a base salary of circa £40,000 with overtime and an OTE of £60,000–£70,000.

A fully equipped company van, laptop and mobile are provided, along with ongoing training and career progression opportunities. The role involves hands-on engineering, diagnostics, and customer support at farms and sites within ~50 miles of the depot.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Land-Based, Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and diagnostic skills.
• Experience within agricultural, plant, commercial vehicle or related industries.
• Confident customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to commit to seasonal overtime requirements, particularly during harvest (June–September).

Responsibilities

• Service, diagnose and repair a wide range of agricultural machinery and equipment.
• Utilise laptop-based diagnostics alongside practical engineering expertise.
• Travel to customer sites and farms within a local patch, typically within 50 miles of the depot.
• Deliver first-class customer service and technical support.
• Manage your own workload while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Participate in ongoing manufacturer and technical training programmes.

The Role
