Job summary

Morgan Jones Ltd is recruiting a Field Service Engineer for Essex to service and repair premium agricultural machinery across a local patch. You will diagnose using laptops and hands-on engineering, traveling to farms within ~50 miles and delivering excellent customer support.

The role offers structured training and clear career progression. Candidates should have a Level 2 qualification in Land-Based/Mechanical Engineering, strong mechanical/hydraulic skills, and comfortable client-facing

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification or equivalent in Land‑Based, Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in agricultural, plant, commercial vehicle or related industries.
• Confident customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to commit to seasonal overtime during harvest (June–September).

Responsibilities

• Service, diagnose and repair a wide range of agricultural machinery and equipment.
• Utilise laptop-based diagnostics alongside practical engineering expertise.
• Travel to customer sites and farms within a local patch (typically within 50 miles of the depot).
• Deliver first-class customer service and technical support.

The Role
