Job summary

Coalesce Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and repair a wide range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment across Yorkshire. You will be trained to repair, maintain and service equipment like load lifters, steps, cranes, ramps and winches, gaining a recognised industry certification.

The role offers full training, ongoing career development, a company van and tools, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Qualified in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics or plant equipment.

• Willingness to train on hydraulics and electrics.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned service and unplanned repairs on customer vehicle fleets across Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
• Rotate weekly shift pattern (8am–5pm and 11am–8pm on alternate weeks) with on-call weekends.
• Utilise hand tools and diagnose faults on mechanical equipment.

Field Service Engineer – Nationwide Service Provider – Yorkshire – Salary: £29,568 - £30,624 inclusive of shift premium + door to door + on-call + overtime = £40k - £50k + Company Van + Tools + Workwear + Training

As Field Service Engineer you will carry out both planned service and unplanned breakdown repairs to customers vehicle fleets throughout Yorkshire and the local surrounding region.

The role will require you to work on a weekly rotating shift pattern which will be Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm and 11am – 8pm the following week and will also include being on-call 1 in 4 weekends and 2 evenings during the week.

You will ideally be qualified in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, plant machinery or similar; be comfortable using various hand tools and have some experience in repairing, maintaining or servicing mechanical equipment. Any prior knowledge or experience of hydraulics and basic fault finding on 12 & 24 volt electrics would be beneficial although full training will be provided.
