Job summary

AJM Healthcare is seeking a qualified Clinician to join our Integrated Wheelchair Service team. You will conduct assessments for NHS wheelchair users across settings, manage your own caseload, and work with service leads, patient services, and logistics to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

The role requires HCPC registration, a valid Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy qualification, a UK driving licence (max 6 points), and an enhanced DBS check. Closing date 2 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Hold and prioritise own caseload of wheelchair service users, including complex cases.
• Work within clinical guidelines and provide clinical advice to team.
• Supervise rehabilitation assistants and technicians as needed.
• Provide expertise in wheelchair services with strong theoretical knowledge.
• Collaborate with customer service, logistics and wider clinical teams.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking to recruit a qualified, registered Clinician to join our brand new Integrated Wheelchair Service clinical team. You will be conducting assessments with our NHS Wheelchair users in various settings within the surrounding areas ensuring outstanding customer experience is maintained throughout. You will showcase an empathic and resilient approach when faced with challenging situations with the ability to work collaboratively with our customer service, logistics, and the wider clinical teams. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of patients with a range of permanent wheelchair mobility, postural, and pressure relief needs. You will ensure best practice is maintained throughout whilst receiving professional guidance from the Clinical and Service Leads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hold, p rioritise, plan and organise your own caseload of service users, some of whom will have complex needs
• Work within professional standards and clinical guidelines, promoting best practice and undertaking all aspects of clinical duties
• Provide clinical advice to other members of the team; may act as lead for a specialism
• Have competence within the specialism of wheelchair services, underpinned by developed theoretical knowledge and experience
• Supervise and allocate work to rehabilitation assistants, rehabilitation engineering technicians, and foundation level clinicians

To be considered for this role, you must hold a valid Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy qualification and hold a HCPC (Healthcare and Professional Council) registration. You must also hold a valid manual UK driving license with no more then 6 valid points on due to insurance purposes.

This position is working in a regulated environment and will therefore be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure check. Cost will be covered by the Company.
