Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover Farnborough and surrounding commutable areas. The role involves attending breakdowns, servicing and installing industrial cleaning equipment within a 1-hour radius, and performing electrical, electronic and mechanical fault finding.

A valid UK driving license is required and a structured training and progression path is on offer. Salary includes a base of £41,000–£42,000 with London weighting (£3–£4k) per annum and OTE

Qualifications

• Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair experience is advantageous.
• NVQ or City & Guilds in mechanical or electrical engineering is a plus.
• Experience with diesel engines and diagnostic tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns, service and installations within a 1-hour radius of your area.
• Use hand tools, powered tools, lifting equipment and hot-working tools to service equipment.
• Perform electrical, electronic and mechanical fault finding and repairs on industrial cleaning equipment.
• Update job reports and order parts when necessary.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times.

Job Role: Field Service Engineer
Location: Farnborough(accepting applications from commutable locations)
Salary: £41,000-£42,000 base salary + London Weighting (£3-£4,000 per annum) (OTE £50,000+-£55,000)
Hours: Monday-Friday (Days only) 40 hours per week + Door to Door Paid + Overtime @ 1.5x

Due to continuous growth, we are looking for a skilled electromechanical engineer interested in learning, developing and progressing within the industrial cleaning machinery sector.

The Responsibilities

• To attend breakdowns, service and installations on an array of industrial cleaning equipment, operating in a 1 hour radius of your area.
• The use of manual hand tools (Spanners, Screwdrivers), electrical hand tools (powered drills, grinders), lifting equipment (lifting slangs, hoists etc), Hot working tools (Blowtorch, heat guns)
• To carry out electrical, electronic, mechanical fault finding and repairs on industrial cleaning equipment, IG Engines (Petrol, Diesel, LPG).
• To manage your time effectively to ensure work is carried out to a high standard in a timely manner.
• Update job reports and order parts when necessary.
• Ensure Health & Safety Procedures are followed

The Requirements

• Electrical, Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience would be advantageous.
• A good level of electrical or mechanical knowledge, similar roles could include plant engineer, maintenance engineer, hydraulic engineer, pneumatic engineer, mechanical fitter.
• Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering- not essential but would be an advantage.
• Experience using electrical & mechanical tools.
• Previous experience as a mechanical, electrical or field based engineer working on diesel engines and using electrical diagnostic tools
