Job summary

NEOS Engineering Recruitment is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer based in the UK to service construction equipment across the country. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnostic work and breakdown repairs, with travel to customer sites and reporting via iPad.

You'll bring a strong Plant industry background, NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance, and a CSCS card preferred. Manufacturer training and in-house systems training are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Plant industry essential.
• NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
• CSCS card holder is preferred.
• Experience of diagnostic tools and computer software including Engine diagnostics.
• Good general level of Education including English, Maths, and IT.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance and breakdowns on machinery.
• Warranty repairs.
• Site visits across various areas of the country.
• Clear and detailed reporting of work carried out and repairs necessary on engineer iPad.
• Manage all above to ensure 100% recovery.
• Care of company vehicle and reporting of defects.
• Good communication with customers and other staff.

The business provides an end-to-end solution to customers' equipment needs, including servicing equipment through a team of mobile engineers, maximising its lifetime and optimising its utilisation.

The Role

Experienced field service engineer covering the below on various construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance and breakdowns on machinery
• Warranty repairs.
• Site visits across various areas of the country
• Clear and detailed reporting of work carried out and repairs necessary on engineer iPad
• Manage all above to ensure 100% recovery.

Additional Responsibilities

• Care of company vehicle and reporting of defects
• Good communication with customers and other staff

Experience and Qualifications

• Strong background in Plant industry essential.
• NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance or equivalent.

• Experience of diagnostic tools and computer software including Engine diagnostics
• Ability to thrive and succeed in a busy, ever-changing environment
• Excellent level of attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Preferred dealer experience but not essential
• Must be able to travel outside of the UK to attend manufacturers training courses.
• Good general level of Education including English, Maths, and IT
• Manufacturers Training will be provided
• Full in-house system training will be provided
• Tool allowance of £40.00 per month
• Van with racking (Specialist tooling provided for engineers)
