Field Service Engineer – Nationwide Service Provider – Northern Ireland

Salary and Benefits

• Basic Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
• Paid door to door, overtime, and call-out = £50k - £60k

Role Responsibilities

As a Mobile Plant Engineer, you will travel throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as needed, providing service, maintenance, repair, and inspection on various plant equipment including load lifters, cranes, winches, tail lifts, shutters, and On-Board Power Systems for a diverse customer base.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment such as heavy vehicle plant, forklifts, agricultural machinery, or road sweepers. Good understanding of hydraulics, mechanics, and basic fault-finding in electrics.

Desirable Skills

Experience with 12v/24v power systems, vehicle ancillary equipment like On Board Power, power inverters, MEWPs, or access platforms is advantageous but not essential. A personal training plan will be provided to address any skill gaps.
