SER Limited in Northern Ireland is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair automated storage systems across customer sites. You will handle fault-finding, preventative maintenance and installations, working closely with clients and coordinating with internal teams.

We’re working with a well-established specialist engineering business that supplies, installs and maintains Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) for customers across a wide range of industries.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Field Service Engineer to their team, covering customers throughout the region with occasional wider UK travel.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer who enjoys fault-finding, working independently and dealing directly with customers.
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of sophisticated automated storage systems at customer sites.

You should be:
Experience with automated storage, materials handling, industrial machinery, automation or similar equipment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
What matters most is having the right engineering fundamentals, a practical approach and the willingness to learn.
Despite being a field‑based position, this role offers an excellent work‑life balance.
Overnight stays are very rare, and weekend work is also very rare, with the normal working pattern being Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm.
There may occasionally be additional travel, weekend work or overnight stays to meet customer requirements, but these are the exception rather than the norm.
