Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd is seeking a Field Sales Manager to lead and develop key customer accounts from Peterborough. The role is predominantly field-based, with regular client visits and close collaboration with the internal sales team.

You will attend the office on Mondays and Fridays and spend Tue–Thu on site visits and business development. You will analyse market trends, nurture relationships with decision-makers, identify new opportunities, and close deals to grow revenue.

Qualifications

• At least two years' proven experience in field sales, account management or a similar customer facing sales role.
• Strong commercial drive with ability to meet sales targets.
• Experience developing existing accounts and winning new business.

Responsibilities

• Analyse market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities.
• Develop and implement targeted sales campaigns to grow existing customer accounts and increase revenue.
• Proactively visit customers to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities for account development.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through prospecting, networking and customer engagement.
• Re-engage with previous customers to generate repeat business and maximise sales potential.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across customer organisations.
• Increase sales and average order values through cross-selling and upselling.
• Negotiate commercial terms, prepare quotations and manage the sales process through to completion.
• Maintain accurate customer records, forecasts and activity reports; meet reporting deadlines.
• Deliver excellent customer service and support the resolution of complex enquiries.
• Work with the internal sales team to coordinate customer requirements, quotations and orders.
