We Help Recruit Talent is recruiting a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Reading area. This field-based role focuses on developing new business in the South/South West territory, targeting corrugated packaging and related sectors.

The successful candidate will build a proactive pipeline, meet decision-makers face-to-face, and close profitable, long-term accounts. Salary package ranges from £45,000 to £65,000, with bonus, company car, and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in B2B field sales.
• Confidence prospecting and approaching new customers.
• Willingness to visit customers in person.
• Experience managing opportunities through a full sales cycle.
• Commercial confidence when dealing with decision-makers.
• Resilience, self-motivation and a proactive approach.
• Ability to manage a geographical territory independently.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and targeting new customers across your territory.
• Building your own pipeline rather than relying on inbound leads.
• Getting out and meeting prospective customers face-to-face.
• Understanding customer packaging, operational and commercial requirements.
• Working with internal teams to develop the right solution.
• Preparing proposals and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Winning profitable, long-term new accounts.
• Developing relationships with key decision-makers.
• Managing your territory and sales pipeline effectively.
