Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is assisting a packaging machinery manufacturer to hire a Sales Engineer/Technical Sales Engineer. The role is home-based in the Midlands, covering the UK with travel to customer sites.

Training is provided with 3–6 months shadowing an experienced Sales Manager as you build a full sales pipeline. There is a base salary around £45,000 plus Commission & Bonus (~£10,000) and an option of Car Allowance or Company Car.

Qualifications

• Experience selling capital equipment or technical solutions into the food industry.
• Willingness to relocate or work remotely within the UK.
• 3–6 months shadowing a Sales Manager as part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Sell packaging machinery to food industry customers across the UK.
• Use CRM to generate qualified leads and manage the sales pipeline.
• Work from home base with UK travel; no set targets in year one; aim for £1m turnover by year three.
