April Quest is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to own a large territory across the Midlands and South of England, working from home and in the field.
You will build relationships with machinery manufacturers, system integrators and end users, delivering product demonstrations and identifying solutions to improve safety and efficiency in industrial automation.
The company is a long-established international manufacturer specialising in industrial wireless control solutions. Founded more than 70 years ago, it now operates through over 20 subsidiaries across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
Its technology enables industrial machinery and equipment to be controlled safely, reliably and efficiently. Working with machinery manufacturers, system integrators, resellers and end users, the business supports a diverse range of sectors, including construction, manufacturing, offshore, vehicle recovery, mobile machinery and industrial automation.
The company continues to invest in innovative products and emerging technologies, including advanced control systems, telematics, machinery tracking and data-led solutions. As part of its wider international development, the UK operation is experiencing an exciting period of structured growth and is now seeking a Field Sales Engineer to take responsibility for its South of England market.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a large and varied sales territory covering the Midlands and South of England. Working from home and out in the field, you will become the company’s key point of contact for customers across the region, with the freedom to plan your own diary and develop the territory effectively.
The role offers a balanced mix of account management and new business development. You will build relationships with machinery manufacturers, system integrators, resellers and end users, spending time on-site to understand their equipment, challenges and future projects. Using a consultative approach, you will identify suitable solutions, deliver practical product demonstrations and help customers improve the safe and efficient control of their machinery.
Rather than relying on high-volume cold calling, you will focus on developing meaningful opportunities through existing relationships, incoming enquiries, exhibition leads and targeted prospecting. You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of industries and applications, ensuring that no two customer conversations are quite the same.
With the support of an experienced UK sales and technical team, you will receive comprehensive product training and practical field-based mentoring. You will also represent the business at trade shows and exhibitions, gather valuable market insight and play an important part in increasing the company’s presence across the region.
