Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists Ltd in Oxfordshire is seeking a Ruminant Sales Representative to build and manage relationships with dairy and beef farmers across Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. This field-based role requires a solid understanding of ruminant nutrition and the ability to provide practical advice, identify sales opportunities and drive growth.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience within animal nutrition, agriculture or a related sector.
• Good understanding of ruminant nutrition and dairy or beef production.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage your own territory effectively.
• Comfortable working independently while contributing to a wider sales team.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective dairy and beef customers.
• Understand individual farm requirements and recommend suitable feed and nutrition solutions.
• Drive new business and identify opportunities to increase sales across the territory.
• Provide product advice, demonstrations and presentations to customers.
• Keep up to date with ruminant nutrition, market trends and competitor activity.
• Attend agricultural events, shows and customer meetings to promote the business and develop new contacts.
• Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts and account information while providing excellent customer support
