Job summary

ADAS, part of the RSK Group, is seeking a Field Research Scientist for a full-time permanent role based at our Gleadthorpe Office near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

This practical role covers field projects across crops and horticulture, with opportunities to work on government and industry projects in the UK and internationally. A strong emphasis on data collection, analysis and reporting underpins our scientific delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in field and laboratory work is desirable.
• Willing to travel across the UK and overseas as required.
• Strong communication and data handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical research for agricultural and horticultural crops, focusing on pathology, physiology, entomology, soils and nutrients, and weeds.
• Develop on-site trial capabilities and apply knowledge exchange in the field.
• Deliver field and laboratory work and liaise with clients to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage projects to meet objectives, timelines and scientific credibility.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues, collaborators and growers.
• Support reports with statistical analysis and technical notes.
