Job summary

Mears is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Operative to support a busy repairs contract across Yorkshire and Humber. The role covers plumbing, joinery, plastering and tiling in void properties, with a focus on high-quality repairs and customer service.

It’s a field-based, permanent role working 42.5 hours per week. We offer a company van with fuel card, 25 days of annual leave plus holidays, a pension, life assurance and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing, joinery, plastering or tiling.
• Experience in multiple trades.
• Full UK driving license.
• Excellent customer service.
• Health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Identifying void works and carrying out necessary repairs.
• Carrying out plumbing tasks such as removing old shower trays and replacing baths.
• Joinery tasks including fitting doors and kitchen fittings.
• Carrying out plastering, tiling, painting and decorating.
• Maintaining tools and vehicle and recording job details.
• Travelling across Yorkshire and Humber as required.
