Mears is hiring a Multi-skilled Operative to carry out high-quality repairs and maintenance across void properties in Margate. You will perform carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and decorating, ensuring homes are safe, compliant and ready for new residents to move into.

You will work 42.5 hours per week, use handheld devices to record work, and manage daily workload to meet turnaround targets. A full UK driving licence and relevant trade qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in void properties, repairs and maintenance.
• Proven multi-trade capability across carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and decorating.
• Full UK Driving Licence and valid relevant trade qualification.
• Ability to work independently and meet void turnaround targets.

Responsabilités

• Carry out void property works across social housing properties.
• Replace or repair skirting boards, architraves, internal door frames and other timberwork.
• Install, repair and adjust kitchen units, worktops, cupboard doors and fittings.
• Repair internal doors, handles, locks and ironmongery.
• Identify and complete minor plumbing repairs and replace fittings.
• Repair UPVC components (windows, doors, frames, locks, handles, hinges).
• Patch plastering and repair damaged walls/ceilings.
• Tile/vinyl repair and sealing; paint/decorate after repairs.
