Job summary

Mears Group PLC, in partnership with Pyramid Plus South, is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative in Ealing to carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across tenanted social housing properties. The role is full-time permanent, 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, in locations across Ealing.

Salary up to £40,267.50 per annum, plus company van and fuel card. As a Multi Skilled Operative you'll handle carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and decorating tasks, ensuring high standards and resident

Qualifications

• Experience in domestic repairs across multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating) in social housing contexts.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service skills when working in occupied homes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across tenanted social housing properties.
• Replace or repair skirting boards, architraves, and internal door frames.
• Install and adjust kitchen units, worktops, and cupboard doors.
• Repair or replace internal doors, handles, locks and hinges.
• Identify and fix minor plumbing issues such as leaks and dripping taps.
• Carry out plastering and make good damaged walls or ceilings.
• Complete tiling repairs including grouting and sealing.
• Paint and decorate to a professional finish after repairs.
• Ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Work in residents' homes with sensitivity to residents’ needs and privacy.
