Field Renewable Energy Sales Consultant

Location: Field-based, covering Surrey, Hampshire and surrounding areas

Reporting Location: Farnham, Surrey

Salary: £26,500 to £32,000, depending on experience

OTE: £60,000 to £65,000

Commission: Uncapped

Valoris Group is recruiting an experienced Field Renewable Energy Sales Consultant on behalf of a growing UK manufacturer and installer of high-efficiency air source heat pump systems.

You will attend pre-arranged appointments with homeowners who have already expressed a genuine interest in installing an air source heat pump. These are warm, highly qualified opportunities, allowing you to focus on understanding the customer’s requirements, presenting the right solution and securing the sale.

Many consultants within the current team are converting approximately two out of every three qualified opportunities. Established performers are currently earning between £2,000 and £4,000 per month in commission, with the potential to earn more through an uncapped commission structure.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced field salesperson who wants quality appointments, a competitive basic salary and realistic earnings of £60,000 to £65,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Attending pre-arranged appointments with homeowners
• Delivering professional and consultative in-home sales presentations
• Understanding the customer’s property, existing heating system and requirements
• Explaining how an air source heat pump could benefit the customer
• Presenting the company’s renewable heating systems and installation service
• Discussing installation costs, potential savings and available grant support
• Providing quotations and clearly explaining the proposed package
• Answering questions and overcoming objections professionally
• Building trust and helping customers make an informed decision
• Securing customer commitment and completing the required documentation
• Following up appointments and progressing outstanding opportunities
• Maintaining accurate sales activity and customer information on the CRM
• Coordinating with internal sales, survey, design and installation teams
• Managing a structured regional diary and sales pipeline
• Achieving agreed conversion, revenue and customer service targets
• Representing the business professionally within customers’ homes

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in field sales, direct sales or in-home sales
• A proven track record of converting warm, pre-qualified appointments
• Comfortable selling higher-value products to residential customers
• Strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills
• Professional, trustworthy and consultative approach
• Confident explaining technical products in straightforward language
• Self-motivated and comfortable managing a regional appointment diary
• Target-driven and motivated by uncapped commission
• Experience selling air source heat pumps, solar PV, boilers, heating systems, windows, roofing, insulation or other home improvement products would be highly advantageous
• Previous renewable energy experience is beneficial but not essential
• A full UK driving licence is essential
