Job summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer to join their field-based team, covering customer sites predominantly across the North East. You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning systems to keep equipment safe, reliable and operational.

Work as part of a field team to help customers maintain asset uptime and store trading continuity.

Qualifications

• C&G 2079 F-Gas qualification, including hydrocarbons.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Significant experience as Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer.
• Retail environment experience preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Carry out planned and reactive refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance to high standards.
• Diagnose faults and issues with equipment and systems.
• Identify effective solutions and escalate when needed.
• Support service improvements and asset uptime.
• Maximise first-time fix rates and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Ensure work complies with health, safety and technical standards.
• Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota covering evenings and weekends.
