Job summary

ESSENTIAL EMPLOYMENT LTD in Clacton-on-Sea is seeking two Recycling Officers for a 6-month Temporary, Full-Time contract. The role is site-based across the local area, requiring travel and access to a vehicle with a full UK driving licence.

You will monitor waste collection compliance, engage with residents and contractors, and help promote recycling and waste minimisation. The position involves on-site duties and daily interactions with the public.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste management, recycling or environmental services.
• Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
• Experience working with contractors, stakeholders or the public.
• Ability to manage site visits, inspections and compliance activities.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Monitor recycling and waste collection compliance.
• Engage with residents and contractors to promote recycling and waste minimisation.
• Conduct audits of communal bin stores and recommend recycling improvements.
• Support the rollout and promotion of food waste collection services.
• Deliver recycling containers and information to households.
• Handle customer enquiries via telephone and email.
• Provide general administrative and operational support.
