Job summary

Pertemps Gloucester is seeking a Pump Service Engineer to join a growing wastewater solutions provider. The role covers servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs on sewage treatment plants, pumps and wastewater systems at domestic, commercial and industrial sites.

You will work field-based with planned routes and flexible hours. Full-time, permanent opportunity with a salary of £38,000–£42,000, 45 hours per week and a day shift with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications.
• 17th/18th/19th Edition desirable but not essential.
• CSCS Card desirable but not essential.
• Confined Spaces desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, repairs and call-outs on sewage treatment plants, pumps and wastewater systems.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Completing planned preventive maintenance and responding to breakdowns.
• Liaising with customers on-site and providing updates on work undertaken.
• Working closely with scheduling team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
• Providing accurate reports after site visits.
• Managing van stock and ensuring tools and parts are available.
• Using mobile tech to manage schedules and job info.
• Supporting delivery of excellent customer service across all contracts.
• Maintaining safe working practices at all times.
