Job summary

Atlas Copco Compressors is seeking a Process Cooling Engineer to service and support process cooling equipment across the South. This field-based role involves travel to customer sites, performing maintenance, diagnostics, installation, and commissioning while delivering clear technical guidance to customers.

You will work with refrigeration and thermal systems, comply with safety and F‑Gas regulations, and collaborate with a supportive team to deliver reliable, efficient and safe cooling

Qualifications

• Experience in a mechanical or electrical service role (hands-on repairs, maintenance).
• Engineering qualification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Background in refrigeration and thermal systems.
• Understanding of chillers, pumps and heat exchangers.
• Experience in a F-Gas regulated environment or willingness to obtain certification.
• Full driving licence (UK or international within 12 months).
• Comfortable using digital tools and learning new systems.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on process cooling equipment
• Diagnosing and resolving faults, particularly relating to chiller performance
• Installing, commissioning, and starting up new equipment
• Completing accurate service reports and maintaining detailed documentation
• Supporting customers with clear communication and technical advice
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and F-Gas regulations
• Promoting safe working practices and using appropriate PPE
• Keeping up to date with refrigeration systems, controls, and automation
• Collaborating with colleagues and sharing knowledge across the team
• Supporting occasional overtime or emergency call-outs when required
