Operations and Maintenance Engineer

Based in Slough, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom (Remote)

Telent is a leading provider of critical digital infrastructure, enabling connectivity across various sectors. We are seeking an Operations & Maintenance Engineer to work on Highways England Contracts, performing maintenance and commissioning activities within designated areas, including the M25, M4, M11, M1, A14, M40, and A1(M).

This role involves working with a supportive team, using your initiative to resolve field issues, and ensuring the delivery and supervision of maintenance, installation, cabling, or civils works, contributing to the nation's critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

• Attending to cable breaks and repairs on copper and fibre cables
• Completing commissioning of equipment to standards, on time and within budget
• Addressing equipment issues in Transmission Buildings and Roadside Cabinets
• Performing general maintenance, commissioning, and testing of fibre and copper equipment
• Completing documentation promptly

Candidate requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role, with fault finding and testing in fibre or copper environments.
