Job summary

Severn Trent Water is seeking Network Optimisation Support Technicians based in Derby. You will install and manage pressure monitoring equipment across wastewater assets, support flow monitoring activities and perform field surveys to improve asset data quality.

A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset and a full UK driving licence are essential for this field‑based role. You will work across operational sites, collect and validate asset data, and support investigations to enhance asset

Qualifications

• Experience in an operational, technical or field-based environment is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and data handling skills.
• Comfortable learning and using IT systems and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and manage pressure monitoring equipment across wastewater assets.
• Support deployment, maintenance and recovery of temporary flow monitoring equipment.
• Carry out field surveys, inspections and investigations to assess asset performance and identify issues.
• Collect, validate and update asset information to improve data quality across business systems.
• Support Rising Main investigations and follow-on activities to enhance asset understanding.
• Work safely and efficiently across operational sites, adhering to health, safety and company standards.
